Dr. Bliss, part owner of Pinon Family Practice, is a native of Farmington, New Mexico. He graduated from Farmington HS in 1986. He went on to earn degree in Biology at New Mexico State University and his MD at University of New Mexico. Dr. Bliss did his internship at Medical College of Virginia and his residency at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas.  He was an associate professor at Texas A&M Medical School before joining Pinon Family Practice in 2000.

Dr. Bliss is married to Dr. Lynne Bliss, a radiologist at San Juan Regional Medical Center. Together they have four beautiful and multi-talented children – Emily, John, Allison, and Eli. Their family gatherings and outings are their favorite way to spend free time. Among their interests are mountain biking, skiing, and boating.
