Megan Velasquez-Baca, CNP, MSCP

Certified Nurse Practitioner

Megan Velasquez-Baca was born in Durango, CO and was raised in Bloomfield, NM. She graduated from Bloomfield High School. Megan began her nursing education by completing her BSN at the University of New Mexico graduating Magna Cum Laude, with an award for clinical excellence from the Dean. While completing her BSN she worked in the NICU at UNMH. After graduation she started off in the Pediatric ICU. Megan then moved back to the Farmington area and worked at the regional hospital, and local Women’s Health Specialist clinic.

Megan then decided to advance her career and began serving the community as an RN Care Coordinator. She did this full time while obtaining her MSN. Megan completed her MSN with Chamberlain University. Megan is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Megan is a member of New Mexico Nurse Practitioner Council, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, North American Menopause Society, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Megan is a Family Nurse Practitioner seeing patients throughout the lifespan with a special interest in women’s health. Megan also serves as a pediatric delayed sexual assault examiner in the community. Megan has a passion for serving the community of San Juan County where she was born and raised.

When Megan is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Brandon and two children Cayden and Kamryn. Their favorite things to do are camping, fishing, boating, and spending time on their farm together.
